Live-In Caregiver

A live-in caregiver has a number of typical home caregiver duties from kitchen work, including food shopping, cooking and meal preparation, to house work, including cleaning and dish washing. An in home caregiver may also perform menial work such as laundry. Child care is another possible family caregiver job, which often involves diaper changing, bathing and child supervision.

An elderly caregiver, as opposed to a child caregiver, is a home health caregiver who takes care of senior bathing, companionship and doctor visit coordination. The frequency in which the caregiver stays in the home changes the daily caregiver burden.
